Experience Highlights
Eric has been a tai chi practitioner since 1999. Self-taught for the first 9 years, he started taking lessons from a Yang style teacher from China in 2009. He was given the authority to teach when the teacher returned to China.
He spent several months under the instruction of a 20th generation lineage instructor of the original Chen family tai chi. In 2011 he started studying under VJ, a Tung style teacher, who destroyed and rebuilt his skill.
Eric received the authority to teach his own style in 2014. He has since developed his own style of teaching tai chi which has led to an ongoing, and never-ending, growth in his skill.

Teaching Philosophy
Knowing the movements of tai chi is only half of the experience. There is a philosophy of tai chi that goes hand in hand with physical movements.
The philosophy of tai chi is found in the Tao Te Ching. In reading its passages we understand why and how we move. In practicing tai chi we understand what the Tao Te Ching is saying.
This is when we realize that tai chi is not a martial art, that instead it is a way of living. A way of thinking, feeling and moving in our world, and doing so with ease.
Sifu VJ is the person who first introduced Eric to integrating philosophy with physicality. This multiplies the effectiveness of tai chi and allows the skill to permeate into all aspects of life.
Creating Taijishenghuo, Taichi Living, or The Grand Ultimate Life!
"Taichi Living is a culmination of over 25 years of spiritual insights in action. It uses the TCL 24 tai chi set as a vehicle to understand how, when, and why we move."
